 This web site depicts the artwork of Jim Riesenberger. The primary focus is oil paintings of thoroughbred racing through portraits, murals and conventional sized paintings. With the horse racing scenes I work to capture speed, power and elegance on canvas. With the portraiture the emphasis is on an accurate depiction using a painterly "fresh" style. The larger paintings are a powerful way of expressing a champion's success. Generally I focus on current horses and races. You will find Rachel Alexandra, Zenyatta, Sea the Stars, Some Beach Somewhere and others. In an age of mass production I offer original oil paintings. Made in the USA. No copies. An equally prominent theme in the artists work is horses in the wild, in their natural setting.  |
